Placing Orders on The Vajram Marketplace

  1. Go to www.www.thevajram.com/marketplace
  2. Browse items by category or area or price, or a combination of these search criteria
  3. Click ‘add to cart’ on items that you wish to order. Add quantity that you require for each product. For services, leave the order quantity to ‘1’
  4. Once you have finished adding all the items to cart, click the ‘shopping bag’ icon on the right top corner and choose checkout
  5. You will arrive on the checkout page. If you are a returning customer, click the log-in link. Now fill in the billing and shipping details
  6. If you are a new customer, fill up all the billing and shipping details in the checkout page and automatically register yourself with a customer user name and password in the space provided. Use this username and password for all future purchases.
  7. Now click ‘Place Order’
  8. Your order notification will be sent to your email as well as the vendor’s email

Order Processing and Delivery

  1. Wait for vendor’s SMS/Whatsapp confirming the amount and the vendor’s Bank Name, Bank Account Number and Account Name. If you ordered a service, you will receive more information on the service and possible appointment slots/schedule
  2. Sort out the payment arrangement with the vendor. This can be via an online bank transfer or ‘cash on delivery’. For services, payment arrangement has to be arranged between the vendor and customer prior to the commencement of the service
  3. If your order requires an online bank transfer, transfer the exact amount and provide proof of payment
  4. Check for the status of your order via The Vajram Marketplace. The fastest way to log in is to click on the following icon on the right top corner of The Vajram. You can also log in by going to www.www.thevajram.com/my-account/ .
  5. Make sure that you are using your CUSTOMER username and password. If you are also a vendor on The Vajram Marketplace, you will have another username and password. Read the Guidelines on Getting Started for Vendors below.
  6. Once logged in, you can check for the status of your order by clicking the ‘Order’ tab on the top right dropdown menu (human icon) or the ‘Order’ tab on the page. Statuses include ‘pending payment’, ‘processing’, ‘cancelled’ or ‘completed’. If you are not happy with the status of the order, you can contact your vendor.
  7. For ‘cash on delivery’ payments, prepare ready cash at delivery
  8. In the case of a service, all payments will take place as per the payment schedule agreed by the customer and vendor
  9. Any issues with product delivery or service appointment should be cleared directly with the vendor. Please read the Guide on Customer and Vendor Responsibilities (scroll below)
  10. Confirm receipt of the product or service by notifying the vendor via SMS/WhatsApp
   

Registering

  1. Go to https://www.thevajram.com/my-account/
  2. REGISTER as a VENDOR
  3. Remember your username and password. Use an email that you access frequently
  4. You will arrive at your DASHBOARD
  5. Create your products/services by clicking the PRODUCTS TAB (see guide for Creating products)
  6. Create your store information in the SETTINGS tab
  7. Save your entries and log out
Please note that you CANNOT make purchases on The Vajram Marketplace using a VENDOR account. To purchase items on The Vajram Marketplace, you have to register a CUSTOMER account. Go to www.www.thevajram.com/my-account/ and this time, choose ‘Customer’ when registering. By doing this, you will have two accounts on The Vajram Marketplace.  

Creating products

  1. Log in using your VENDOR username and password
  2. You will see the DASHBOARD
  3. Click on the PRODUCTS tab to see your existing products
  4. To create new products, click on the ‘Add new product’ button
  5. Add all the product details required
  6. Make your product description as detailed as possible
  7. You must include the price, the quantity and product measurements (where applicable such as width, length, weight). You are encouraged to add as much information as possible including colors, material, brand name, make (made in country x), organic or otherwise, certification by authorized bodies, HALAL status (where applicable), etc
  8. Please upload the best product picture. Maximum picture size is 100KB in JPG or JPEG format. We recommend you use www.shortpixel.com for image resizing
  9. In the product description, you can add links to your website/Facebook page/Instagram page/Linkedin page/link to more images of your product

When orders are made

  1. When orders are made, you will receive an email notification
  2. You can also check for new orders by logging in to The Vajram Marketplace. The fastest way to log in is to click on the following icon on the right top corner of The Vajram
  3. Each order will come with the customer phone number and shipping address
  4. Confirm order with your customer. Upon confirmation, SMS or WhatsApp your customer your:
    1. Bank Name
    2. Bank Account Number
    3. Account Name
    4. Total Amount Payable
  5. Request for proof of payment
  6. Once you receive the proof of payment, update the order status on The Vajram to ‘PROCESSING’
  7. Deliver your product. Once sent, update the order status on The Vajram as ‘COMPLETED’

Creating services

  1. Log in using your VENDOR username and password
  2. You will see the DASHBOARD
  3. Click on the PRODUCTS tab to see your existing services/products
  4. To create your service, click on the ‘Add new product’ button
  5. Add all the details required
  6. In the price segment, enter the price of your basic service for a single session/plan type/time period. For example, your saree draping services can be RM200 (per session), or a gym monthly membership can be RM80 (per month), or an insurance policy can be RM100 (per month). State the basis of your pricing (session/plan type/time period) in your service description.
  7. Include as many details as possible in the service description. This may include coverage area, service schedules, breakdown of the service and a clear and concise description of what you actually deliver
  8. Please upload an image that best describes your service. Please use your own image (e.g. office, equipment, documents, studio, classroom, past work, etc). Maximum picture size is 100KB in JPG or JPEG format. We recommend you use www.shortpixel.com for image resizing
  9. In the product description, you can add links to your website/Facebook page/Instagram page/Linkedin page

  4. SMS or WhatsApp your customer to confirm the service details and appointment schedule. (Tip: We recommend you prepare an e-brochure that can be emailed or shared on WhatsApp. This will save you the time and energy of communicating every detail requested by potential customers. We also recommend that you prepare an e-namecard and an album of images that you can share off hand. )
  5. Upon confirmation, SMS or WhatsApp your customer your:
    1. Bank Name
    2. Bank Account Number
    3. Account Name
    4. Total Amount Payable
  6. Wait for proof of payment. Once received, update the order status on The Vajram to ‘PROCESSING’
  7. Deliver your service. Once your service commences, update the order status on The Vajram as ‘COMPLETED’
  8. If your service requires NO upfront payment, skip process (5) and (6)
   

Delivery and Payment Arrangements

  1. Payments for goods and services listed on The Vajram Marketplace are made directly by the customer to the vendor. The Vajram Marketplace does not accept any payments on behalf of the vendor. We do not store any cash value in the vendor’s account on The Vajram Marketplace.
  2. Non-payment, late payment, cancellations, returns, refunds and other similar issues relating to the payment and delivery of products/services are to be managed between the vendor and customer. We advise all vendors to start shipping their products only after receiving payments. For cash on delivery items, vendors are advised to verify the identity of the customers before making deliveries. For services, vendors are advised to only commence services after written confirmation is received from the customer and after basic verification of customer details (actual name and contact number) has been completed
  3. Any dispute relating to payments or delivery or the quality of products/services is to be resolved between the vendor and the customer. The Vajram will not entertain any questions or complaints relating to payments and delivery and product/service quality. Customers are advised to verify the products/services and the vendor information before placing orders.
  4. The vendor must update the status of the orders accordingly (‘pending payment’/ ‘cancelled’/ ‘processing’/’completed’) on The Vajram Marketplace via the vendor dashboard
  5. We will be advising customers to provide reviews on the products and services ordered on The Vajram Marketplace. Vendors are encouraged to reply to these reviews
   

Compliance with Rules and Regulations

  1. A vendor is NOT ALLOWED to sell products or services that require product/service/vendor licensing or approval/certification from the relevant local authorities unless such approvals/licenses/certifications have been granted to the vendor.  The vendor is responsible for ensuring that their products/services are in compliance with local laws and regulations. Vendors are fully liable for all damages and losses arising from direct or indirect placement of these items on The Vajram Marketplace should their listing contravene with any of these licensing/approval/certification requirements.
  2. Products that are illegal, fake, counterfeit, that infringe local/global copyright and trademark laws and products that are harmful/dangerous/risky are STRICTLY PROHIBITED from being sold on The Vajram Marketplace. Vendors are fully liable for all damages and losses arising from selling these items on the Vajram Marketplace
  3. Vendors are also fully liable for all damages and losses arising from wrong product/service claims, misleading information in product/service descriptions, misleading information in vendor store descriptions and any form of theft/fraud/illegal/unethical activity committed through the use of The Vajram Marketplace
  4. Customers are responsible for all orders made directly or indirectly via The Vajram Marketplace. The Vajram is not responsible for any damage or losses suffered by the customer as the result of any transaction conducted directly or indirectly via The Vajram Marketplace. The Vajram is also not responsible for any damage or losses that arise from using any of the products or services ordered on The Vajram Marketplace. Customers are fully responsible for verifying the legality, safety, authenticity, quality and other attributes of the products or services they order directly or indirectly via The Vajram Marketplace. Customers are fully responsible for verifying the nature and legality of the Vendor business before transacting with any vendor listed on The Vajram Marketplace
  5. Customers must bear in mind that The Vajram does not endorse any vendor/product/service listed or sold on The Vajram Marketplace. The Vajram, from time to time, may promote selected products and services for purposes of advertising The Vajram Marketplace. This promotion shall not be construed as endorsement, review or recommendation of any vendor/product/service. Customers are fully responsible in ensuring that they are adequately informed about potential risks, losses and damages that may arise from using an open e-commerce marketplace
   

Marketplace Terms and Conditions

  1. Vendors and customers are advised to fully read and understand the Terms and Conditions of The Vajram Marketplace and The Vajram’s Privacy Policy before agreeing to them and before signing up and commencing any transaction on The Vajram Marketplace
